
Southern Miss Cross Country Heads to Seminole Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss cross country opens its season Friday morning at the Seminole Invitational, hosted by Florida State in Tallahassee, Florida. The 6K race begins at 8:20 a.m. at Apalachee Regional Park.
Last time out, Emme Bates leading the Golden Eagles with a 50th-place finish in 17:41.3. Addison Rainey followed as the second finisher for Southern Miss, placing 82nd overall in 18:00.0. Graduate student Maria Kaylor crossed next in 99th at 18:10.5. The Golden Eagles packed closely with Alexane Hunte (18:23.7), Lexi Cooper (18:31.4), Indy Grajalez (18:35.8), Katie Galgoczy (18:37.9) and Cadence Lapp (18:39.3) all finishing within 16 seconds of each other. Hayley Datema rounded out the lineup in 19:30.9.
