Cheerleading
As a Southern Miss Spirit Squad, our two cheerleading squads are a selected group of talented individuals to represent The University of Southern Mississippi. The Southern Miss Cheerleaders support the athletic teams at The University of Southern Mississippi by generating crowd enthusiasm. They represent the university at a variety of community alumni, civic, and charitable events to generate the Southern Miss spirit.
Southern Misses
The Southern Misses Dance Team includes a select group of talented individuals who represent The University of Southern Mississippi. As a Southern Miss Spirit Squad, the Southern Misses' primary focus is to support Southern Miss Athletics as well as increasing fan support within the Hattiesburg area. The Southern Misses strive to generate a relationship between the local community and Southern Miss Athletics. Their contribution to the University includes performing at all men's and women's home basketball games, football pep rallies, Eaglewalk festivities, and Sun Belt Basketball Tournaments.
Seymour Mascot Program
The Southern Miss Mascot Program includes a select group of talented individuals who represent The University of Southern Mississippi. As a Southern Miss Mascot, students perform as Seymour representing the highest ideals of school spirit and tradition of the Golden Eagles. Mascots perform at sporting events and a number of on-campus and off-campus events to represent Southern Miss.
