Southern Miss Heads To The State Capital

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Heading to the state capital, Jackson, on Sunday, Sep.5, the Southern Miss soccer program will take on Jackson State in its sixth game of the season at 1 p.m.
Series History: Southern Miss leads the series, 10-0-1, with the first game-ending as a Southern Miss, 9-0, victory in Hattiesburg.
Last Meeting: The Golden Eagles and Tigers last met on Sep. 15, 2019, in Hub City as USM went on to win, 2-0.
Last Time In Hattiesburg: Southern Miss alumni Jenny Caracheo and Jacky Manteas each notched a goal in the 2-0 win over the Tigers in Hattiesburg. Caracheo opened the scoring in the 15th minute as she easily slotted away an open net goal. In the 51st minute, Manteas gave the Black and Gold an insurance goal off of a blocked Caracheo shot.
