Men's Golf Finishes Fall Slate at First Tee/Little Rock Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf squad finishes the fall portion of its 2020-21 schedule this week when they travel to the First Tee/Little Rock Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 7,115-yard Chenal Country Club (Founder's Course) in Little Rock, Ark. The Golden Eagles are slated to play 36 holes on Monday and finish the event with 18 more holes on Tuesday. The action gets underway each day at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
The 14-team field includes 11 squads that finished last season in the Top 150 in the Golfstat rankings. The field includes host Little Rock, along with Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Lamar, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Missouri State, South Alabama, Southern Illinois, the Golden Eagles, Texas State, ULM and UT Arlington.
In a scoring format that counts the four lowest scores each round of the six playing team members toward the team standings, the Golden Eagles will utilize junior Brice Wilkinson (Madison, Miss.), junior Brian Richards (Gulf Breeze, Fla.), junior Hunter Atkins (West Point, Miss.), senior Matt Lorenz (Gulf Shores, Ala.), freshman Bennett Rudy (Waterloo, Ontario) and freshman Robbie Latter (Mississauga, Ontario).
