Â
Last season, the Golden Eagles were scheduled to compete in the Florida State Invitational on Oct. 12, but because of Hurricane Michael, the meet was canceled. Instead, the team headed to Alabama to compete in the Blazer Classic, which was scheduled for the same day. Southern Miss came away from the meet placing third with 88 points. Szpott finished in 12th with Kate Mattox and Monika Gebarzewska finishing in 17th and 18th, respectively. McGee finished in 20th and Lina May rounded out the top-25. Theresa Harto finished in 42nd.Â

A recap will be posted to SouthernMiss.com after the conclusion of the race when results have been finalized. Live results can be found here, with Xpress Timing providing real-time results for the meet.Â
