Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during the Fall 2023 semester…
2023 (Jr): Appeared in 18 games and made 13 starts for the Golden Eagles in his first season…Posted an 8-3 record with a 4.21 ERA and a save…Fanned 89 and walked 23 over 77 innings…Ranked in the Sun Belt statistical leaders, including second in opponents’ batting average (.221), tied third for strikeouts looking (6), fifth in fewest walks allowed (23), tied for sixth in wins, seven in ERA, tied for eighth in strikeouts, and ninth in innings pitched…Had five or more strikeouts in 10 outings, including a season-high nine in first start in which he no-hit New Orleans (2/21) over five innings for a his first win…Fanned seven of the last eight Privateers he faced in that game and only batter to reach base was on a wild pitch on a missed third strike…Threw five shutout frames in win at ULM (5/13)…Tossed the final 4 2/3 innings at Troy (4/2) with no runs on three hits and seven strikeouts to post only save…Got victories in three consecutive starts against Arkansas State (4/29), South Alabama (5/6) and ULM…Compiled a 1.96 ERA over that stretch that consisted of 21 strikeouts, five walks, five runs (four earned) and 13 hits…Got a victory in win over Auburn (6/3) in an elimination game in the regional, giving up two runs on four hits over 5 2/3 innings with two walks and a strikeout…Threw three more innings in relief two days later versus Penn (6/5), as he threw three scoreless frames in a game the Golden Eagles won to earn a regional championship
