HATTIESBURG, Miss. – While a trio of Southern Miss pitchers will be trying to make the USA Collegiate National Team this summer, several other current Golden Eagle baseball players will be spending time around the country bettering their games in summer leagues.
The trio of Camden Clark, Grayden Harris and Camden Sunstrom will report to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team trials later this month in Cary, N.C., with a chance to make a team that will play in the World Collegiate Baseball Championship in Taichung City, Taiwan, next month.
Five different Golden Eagles are expected to play in the Cape Cod League with Drey Barrett playing for the Chatham Anglers, while Drake Meeks Sam Mitchell, Bruce Middleton and KL Farr will all appear for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. Meeks currently resides on the Harbor Hawks roster, while the other four players are not set to report to the Cape until July 1.
The New Collegiate Baseball League, which has been a yearly destination for Golden Eagles, will see the trio of Gray Eubanks, Cooper Waddle and Dylan Causey, all slated to play for the Ocean State Waves.
Braden Maranto, who redshirted in 2026, will spend his summer with the Burlington Sock Puppets in the Appalachian League. Another Golden Eagle redshirt in 2026, Cade Adams, will play for the Liberal (Kansas) Bee Jays in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League.
