Beach Volleyball Falls to No. 8 Arizona State in Sun Devil Classic Finale

TEMPE, Ariz. – Southern Miss (3-9, 0-0 Sun Belt) dropped its final dual of the Sun Devil Classic to the host and eight-ranked Arizona State (9-0, 3-0 Big 12) by a final score of 5-0 to conclude the Golden Eagles time out west.
The Sun Devils swept the first wave of competition, winning in straight sets at the second and fourth pairings. Zuzanna Michalska (Warsaw, Poland) and Abby Lewis (The Woodlands, Texas) fell 21-19 in the first set of second flight action but fell 21-12 in the second set.
Arizona State kept up the pressure in the wave two, sweeping the final three flights to pick up its ninth victory of the 2026 campaign. The Sun Devils won in two sets at the first, third and fifth flights, with the first flight clinching the overall dual for ASU.
