Women’s Tennis Welcomes Georgia Southern for Saturday Morning Match

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss women's tennis returns to the USM Tennis Complex this weekend, hosting Georgia Southern on Saturday, March 7 at 10 a.m.
Saturday's match gives the Golden Eagles another chance to settle in on the home courts and keep building confidence as the spring schedule moves forward. Southern Miss has shown all season that the tone starts in doubles, and the focus again will be on getting a strong start, playing aggressive at the net, and turning that early edge into pressure through singles.
The morning start also puts an emphasis on being sharp right away. With quick points and fast momentum swings, Southern Miss will look to stay steady in first sets, handle the big moments late, and stack points across the lineup to put itself in position to clinch.
Southern Miss will have a full roster available, including Hannah Chambers, Gagana Mohan Kumar, Sakura Sudo, Miranda Xu, Kamornwan Kornsila, Pimmada Lim, Mia Hasashi-Morrissey, Celine Mosteanu, Manuella Persson, and Angelina Blinova. Piyanart Engineer leads the Golden Eagles, with Abhijeet Tiwari assisting on the coaching staff.
