HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team is traveling to Aiken, S.C., to play in the More Than Golf Invitational, presented by the ANNIKA Foundation. The three-day, three-round event tees off Sunday at Old Barnwell Golf Club.Â
The prestigious event has a field that features 10 mid-major conference champions from last season — Alabama State, Fairleigh Dickinson, Illinois State, Morehead State, Oakland, Radford, Denver, Richmond, Southern Miss, and Tulsa. Augusta and Columbia round out the field as co-hosts. The grouping will play a par-73, 6,265-yard course. Old Barnwell opened in 2023 on 573 acres of sandy soil and rolling hills. Designed by Brian Schneider and Blake Conant, the course is surrounded by towering longleaf and loblolly pines.Â
