HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss women's tennis opens the 2026 spring season with a three-match homestand at the USM Tennis Complex, welcoming three opponents to Hattiesburg across a four-day stretch.
Friday's matchup marks the first chance for the Golden Eagles to put the offseason work on display and set the tone in front of the home crowd. Southern Miss will look to come out sharp in doubles, establish early momentum on the courts, and carry that energy into singles play as the spring slate officially gets underway.
The opening week continues with Sam Houston visiting Hattiesburg on Saturday, before Southern Miss wraps up the homestand Monday against Lamar. With three matches in four days, the Golden Eagles will have an immediate opportunity to build rhythm, gain match reps, and create early momentum on home courts.
Southern Miss will have a full roster available for the opening stretch, including Hannah Chambers, Gagana Mohan Kumar, Sakura Sudo, Miranda Xu, Kamornwan Kornsila, Pimmada Lim, Mia Hasashi-Morrissey, Celine Mosteanu, Manuella Persson, and Angelina Blinova. Piyanart Engineer leads the Golden Eagles, with Abhijeet Tiwari assisting on staff.
