HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss baseball team concludes a four-game homestand when they play host to Tulane Tuesday at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
Â
The game can be seen via ESPN+, as well as heard on an affiliate of the Southern Miss Sports Network.
Â
The Golden Eagles (20-8) are fresh off a 12th-inning walk-off victory over South Alabama, Sunday, on a Davis Gillespie sacrifice fly, which was their third win at home in their final at bat in 2025. It also marked the 31st time the program has won in walk-off fashion since the start of the 2017 season.
Â
Southern Miss plays a Tulane squad that enters the contest with a 17-11 overall record but dropped all three games in its American Athletic Conference series at USF last weekend. Despite trailing in the series 100-67-1, the Golden Eagles have won the last six games over the Green Wave, including an 11-6 decision in New Orleans and a 9-4 triumph in Hattiesburg last season.
Â
This will be the first of two home games against Tulane this season, with the other contest set to take place April 22.
Â
Senior right-hander Matthew Adams will get his fourth-straight midweek start on the mound for Southern Miss against the Green Wave. Adams is 2-2 with a 3.68 ERA.
Â
Offensively, senior right fielder Carson Paetow reached the school's career top 10 home run listing after belting his 41st round-tripper Saturday against South Alabama. It is the third season Paetow has reached double-digit homers in his collegiate career.
Â
Following the Tulane contest, the Golden Eagles return to the road for their longest road swing of the year – eight games – starting this weekend with a three-game Sun Belt Conference set at Marshall. The opening game of the series is set for Friday at 5 p.m. CT.
