
Women's Tennis Falls 4-0 to Texas State

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-Southern Miss women's tennis (4-10, 0-7 Sun Belt) dropped its match Saturday morning against Texas State (14-3, 5-1 Sun Belt) in a 4-0 decision.
The Bobcats secured the doubles point with two victories on court one and two, and then claimed three consecutive victories in singles competition to seal their fourth straight win.
Multiple Golden Eagles led against the Bobcats, but their games were left unfinished as Texas State pulled away with the victory.
Miranda Xu and Sakura Sudo led 5-1 on court three in doubles play against Callie Creath and Kiana Graham before their match was called. Hannah Chambers battled back from a first set loss with a 6-3 second-set victory, forcing a third set at court one in singles. Xu also was battling back from a first-set loss, leading 5-4 on court three. Jordan Parker won 7-6 in a tiebreaker and was trailing shortly 4-5 in the second set against Chantajah Mills.
