Women's Tennis Falls 4-0 at No. 65 Marshall

HUNTINGTON, W. Va.-Southern Miss women's tennis (4-6, 0-3 Sun Belt) fell 4-0 to No. 65 Marshall (12-3, 1-2 Sun Belt) on Saturday, as the Herd secured the doubles point and took three singles victories to clinch the match.
Marshall took control early in doubles play, sweeping the first two matches over Angelina Blinova and Hannah Chambers and Malannia Vashkevich and Talia Wunnenberg.
In singles play, Johanna Strom defeated Chambers, followed by Emma Vanderheyden's win over Vashkevich on court two. Alina Mokrynskaya clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Xu at No. 3, leaving three singles matches unfinished.
