Men’s Golf Travels to Seminole Intercollegiate Starting Monday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – After enjoying its best finish of the current season in its previous tournament, the Southern Miss men's golf team returns to action this week at the Seminole Intercollegiate in Thomasville, Ga., looking to continue its momentum from its previous finish.
The event includes 36 continuous holes on Monday with 18 more holes to complete the event, Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles collected second place for their last time out at the Dorado Beach Collegiate in Puerto Rico late last month. Senior Ryan Dupuy recorded top individual finisher status for the squad, placing tied for second with a nine-under 207. Freshman Matthew Javier (Toronto, Ontario) ranked tied for fourth with an eight-under 208, while sophomore Benjamin Fernandez added a six-under 210 to tie for 11th place.
The Southern Miss trio will be back in the lineup for this tournament, along with junior Will Burnham (Jackson, Miss.) and redshirt sophomore Walker Wise (Tupelo, Miss.), which is being held at the Glen Arven Country Club for the 54-hole event. Tee times begin Monday with an 8:15 a.m. ET, start, while the Golden Eagles first go off the No. 10 tee and 9:23 a.m. ET
Hosted by Florida State, the 15-team field includes Arkansas, Augusta, Florida Atlantic, FGCU, Furman, Lipscomb, North Alabama, North Texas, Stetson, Troy, UNCW, WKU and Wisconsin along with the Golden Eagles.
