Weather Delay Causes Late Start at The Ally

WEST POINT, Miss. -- Weather delayed Tuesday's second round of The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Course. After finally teeing off at 11 a.m., the Southern Miss women's golf team finished the second round in 10th place.
Morgan Guepet delivered the low round of the day en route to an even-par 72 that put her in 43rd. The Golden Eagle newcomer drained five birdies on the day as Southern Miss made 13 as a team. Liv Romer and Louise Cuyvers are both tied for 37th — Romer carded a one-over 73, while Cuyvers had a two-over 74.
Savannah Van Gaalen and Taylor Trible both finished with an eight-over 80. Southern Miss is third among 15 teams on par-five scoring, sitting at seven-under par on the week. Guepet is tied for the lead in scoring on the lengthy holes, finishing four-under par on par-five holes through two rounds.
Florida leads the field by one stroke after going nine-under par today. Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State round out the top of the leaderboard. ULM leads the pack of the Sun Belt teams, sitting eight strokes ahead of Southern Miss -- Troy and Georgia Southern are at the bottom of the field.
Trible starts the final round on Wednesday morning with an 8:30 a.m. tee time. The rest of the team will follow every nine minutes, with Romer being the final Golden Eagle off the tee box at 9:06 a.m.
