HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Olle Noltorp and Rasmus Becker each earned a singles win against UAB opponents Saturday afternoon in Hattiesburg. Noltorp defeated Georgios Nouchakis in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, while Becker handled Jake Anthony with a 6-4, 6-4 victory.

The Blazers captured the doubles point by taking the top two matches. Noah Malige and Ondrej Valek earned a 6-3 win over Niklas Jensen and Olle Noltorp at line 1, while Georgios Nouchakis and Juan Pablo Valdez swept Ritabrata Sarkar and Ricards Spaks, 6-0, at line 2. The third doubles match was unfinished.

Despite strong efforts in singles play, the Golden Eagles were outlasted in matchups, including the top and middle singles positions.

Southern Miss heads to Jackson, Mississippi, to compete against Jackson State on Feb. 1. The match is set for 2 p.m.
