Cross Country Competes at Southern Showcase

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- Southern Miss competed in the Southern Showcase at John Hunt Cross Country Park Friday Morning in Huntsville.

The Golden Eagles as a team earned a 22nd-place finish out of a competitive showing of 49 teams.

Leading the Golden Eagles was Maria Kaylor, who finished 108th at 18:24.93.

Lexi Cooper followed, placing 152nd in 18:46.06, while Emme Bates came in 198th at 19:15.70. Sarah Parnell clocked 19:27.78 to finish 212th.

Corinne Croy (235th, 19:43.07) and Kristina Stojanivic (256th, 19:58.59) were the next to finish.

Kaylin Jackson (299th, 20:42.99), Olivia Smith (300th, 20:44.05), Sophie West (354th, 21:52.26), and Sylvia White (360th, 22:09.73) all followed in shortly after.
