
Outdoor Track and Field Opens NCAA East Regional Meet Wednesday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss Outdoor Track and Field squad look to shine on a national stage with the start of the NCAA East Regional Wednesday and running through Saturday at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Five Golden Eagle men will kick things off Wednesday for Southern Miss as Warren Williams will run the 110-meter hurdles at 5 p.m., with Javel Fullerton running the 400-meter hurdles at 7:20 p.m.
The day gets started for Kaya Ludgood at 10 a.m. with the hammer throw, while De'Aundre Ward competes in the long jump starting at 5 p.m. and Piers Cameron on the shot put at 5:30 p.m., to round out the day.
The women get started with preliminary action on Thursday as Jada McDougle runs in the 100- and 200-meter preliminaries at 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., respectively. Trinity Benson will compete in the 400-meter prelims at 6:25 p.m., to round out the day for the Golden Eagles.
