Women's Tennis Heads to Arkansas State for Regular Season Finale

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss (4-13, 0-9 Sun Belt) women's tennis travels to Arkansas State (7-14, 1-9 Sun Belt) on Saturday to play its regular season finale. The match is slated for 10 a.m. at the A-State Tennis Courts.
The Golden Eagles are looking for their first conference win as they are coming off a 4-0 loss to South Alabama last Saturday. Southern Miss is paced by Suhana Das' four wins, while Sydney Smyczynski has produced a 3-0 mark in her rookie campaign. The Golden Eagles have also gotten four wins from Angelina Blinova. In doubles action, Alyssa Richter and Das have teamed up to go 6-2 on court one and are 3-2 in Sun Belt action.
After a 4-0 win at ULM, Arkansas State dropped its last eight Sun Belt matches. The Red Wolves have claimed wins over ULM, Tennessee State, Oral Roberts, Lindenwood, Arkansas Tech, Bradley and Jackson State. Ariadna Fernandez leads the squad in wins with 11, while Sarah Millard has posted eight.
