HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss beach volleyball prepares for its final set of matches ahead of the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Championships next week in Huntsville. The Golden Eagles take on No. 4 Cal Poly, ULM and (RV) Tulane at Tulane's NOLA Classic. All matches will take place at the White Sands Volleyball Courts in Elmwood, La.
Game 34 | Southern Miss (13-20, 3-5 Sun Belt) vs. No. 4 Cal Poly (23-5, 7-1 Big West)

The Golden Eagles open the weekend against the No. 4 Mustangs of Cal Poly. It will mark the fifth overall meeting of the two programs with the Mustangs holding a four-game advantage in the series.
The Mustangs are off to an incredible start, as their top five ranking indicates, winning 20 of their last 23 matches. CP is led by head coach Todd Rogers, who holds a record of 144-109 in nine season in San Luis Obispo. The four-time Big West Coach of the Year has lead Cal Poly to four consecutive Big West Championship appearances and is looking to make it back to the NCAA Tournament.

The Golden Eagles final Sun Belt regular season game comes against ULM. This is the eighth overall meeting between the two with Southern Miss leading the series 6-1 overall and 4-1 since joining the Sun Belt in 2023.
ULM finished 1-3 at LSU Beach Invitational last weekend and are led by fourth year head man Michael Hobson.

Former CCSA opponent Tulane meets the Golden Eagles for the final match of Friday. Southern Miss is searching for its first win over rival Tulane, which finished 1-3 at last weekend's Beach Burrow Bash in Boca Raton, Fla.
Green Wave head coach Eyal Zimet holds an overall record of 78-41 since arriving uptown and finished ranked No. 17 at the end of last season.
AFTER THIS
This is Southern Miss' last weekend of play before heading to Huntsville, Ala., for the Sun Belt Championships. Play begins on Thursday, April 25, at the John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex.
