
Men's Basketball Primed for Sun Belt Tournament Contest Against Texas State

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Southern Miss (16-15, 9-9 Sun Belt) men's basketball returns to Pensacola for the 2024 Hercules Tire Sun Belt Conference at the Pensacola Bay Center. The sixth-seeded Golden Eagles will take on No. 11 Texas State (15-17, 7-11 Sun Belt) at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

- Andre Curbelo scored a career-high 25 points on the road at South Alabama on Feb. 28
- Victor Iwuakor produced his fifth double-double this season in the home finale against Louisiana on Feb. 24
- Victor Hart returned to the starting lineup against South Alabama on Feb. 22 and produced a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double

- Freshman Kaden Gumbs is averaging 3.5 assists per game and dished out a career-high eight dimes against UT Arlington
