
Outdoor Track and Field Collects Four 1st Place Showings in Second Day of Bulldog Relays

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss outdoor track and field squad concluded the Bulldog Relay in Starkville, Miss., Saturday, with four first place finishes and 11 top eight finishes over the final day of the meet.
Jada McDougle captured three first-place accolades, including the women's 100 meters at 11.48, the women's 200 meters at 23.38 and the women's 4x100 relay, in which she was the second leg of the winning 44.40 second run. Along with McDougle on the 4x100 relay team was Trinity Flagler, Savi'a Varnell and Trinity Benson.
De'Aundre Ward collected the other first-place finish with a leap of 7.87 meters in the long jump.
Piers Cameron collected second in the men's shot put with a throw of 17.69 meters, while Trinity Benson finished second in the women's 200-meter race with a 23.50.
The Golden Eagles return to action next weekend when they play host to the Southern Miss Invite, March 29-30.
