Cross Country Set for Southern Showcase in Huntsville

HATTIESBURG, Miss.--The Southern Miss Women's Cross Country team will continue their season on the road in Huntsville, Alabama, participating in the Southern Showcase at John Hunt Park, hosted by Jacksonville State on Sep. 15.
The women's 5K race is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. and will feature Sarah Parnell, Isabela Ross, Kendall Drisko, Brynn Kelso, Sylvia White, and Kristina Stojanovic.
The last time out the Golden Eagles made an impressive start to their season, securing a third-place overall finish at the Mississippi College Opener on Sep.1. Sophomore Isabela Ross dominated the competition with a first-place finish, completing the course in 17:12.70, while the second-place finisher was more than a minute behind. Freshmen Brynn Kelso and Kristina Stojanovic marked their collegiate debuts with a 15th and 18th place finish, posting times of 19:13.30 and 19:19.70. Returner Sarah Parnell finished 27th, recording a time of 20:02.10, while Kendall Drisko (20:23.60) and freshman Sylvia White (23:16.20) secured 30th and 68th place overall.
The Golden Eagles will toe the line at 8:30 a.m. Friday at John Hunt Park. The race will be streamed, and live results will be available here.
