Beach Volleyball Passes a Program Wins Milestone in First Day of Beach Burg Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss eclipsed a program milestone in the first day of the Beach Burg Invitational, setting and extending a new program record for wins in a season. The Golden Eagles' 13 wins are the most in a season and Southern Miss still has 12 games remaining on the 2023 slate.
Game One – Southern Miss 4, Central Arkansas 1
Southern Miss collected its 12th win of the 2023 campaign and 50th overall win in program history via a 4-1 victory over Central Arkansas.
The wins marks the third against the Beach Bears and the third in-a-row.
Southern Miss won across the first four positions and the exhibition set, all in three sets.

Game Two – New Orleans 3, Southern Miss 2
Playing back-to-back matches, Southern Miss dropped the second match of the day to New Orleans. Vanessa Hurnikova and Ola Chudzik and Valeria Siakidou Papakyriakou and Morgan Perry collected wins for Southern Miss.
The Golden Eagles lost the penultimate set at the third position to UNO in three sets to give the Privateers their fifth win over the Black & Gold.
