HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss finishes the Beach Burg Invitational 4-2 overall after a 2-1 showing the in the final day of play. The Golden Eagles continue to redefine the new program wins record as the team collected its 14th and 15th wins today.
Game One – Southern Miss 4, Central Arkansas 1
The Golden Eagles moved to 14-12 on the year after a 4-1 win over Central Arkansas. The win marked the fourth in-a-row and fourth overall win over the Beach Bears.

Game Two – New Orleans 3, Southern Miss 2
The Privateers from the Crescent City nipped Southern Miss for the second time in Hattiesburg this weekend. UNO took the fifth and third positions in two sets before outlasting Southern Miss at the first flight in a three-set thriller.
Hallie Phelan and Taylor Pierce collected the second of their three wins today against UNO. The duo is now 3-0 on the year after pairing for the first time this season.

The Black & Gold returned to form in a dominant victory over Nicholls. The 5-0 decision marks the seventh time this season the Golden Eagles have swept an opponent and is the fourth sweep over Nicholls in program history.
Ola Chudzik and Vanessa Hurnikova collected their 16th win of the year at the first flight this season in the match. The pair is at least six wins above all other Golden Eagle pairings this season and are 16-11 overall at the top spot.
