TUCSON, Ariz. – Southern Miss returns home from the Arizona Invitational after dropping both matches of the final day of competition.
Game One – (RV) Cal Poly 5, Southern Miss 0
The Golden Eagles (9-8) suffered their seventh loss of the year after getting swept by the Mustangs of Cal Poly (5-12).
Top pair Ola Chudzik and Vanessa Hurnikova and second pair Kellie Garraway and Taylor Pierce each pushed the Mustangs to three sets but were unable to complete their comebacks.

Game Two – Texas A&M – Corpus Christi 4, Southern Miss 1
Southern Miss fell to 9-8 after dropping a close final match of the tournament. The Islanders are now 13-6 after finishing the tourney 3-1 and beating Southern Miss for the second time this season.
Garraway and Pierce returned to the second pairing and grabbed the Golden Eagles' lone point of the day in three sets. Chudzik and Hurnikova remained at the first pair and fell in the final set 16-14 where the Islanders claimed their third point of the match.
Reagan Sandlin and Valeria Siakidou Papakyriakou also fell just short in three sets, falling 15-11 in the final set after a 22-20 first set loss and 26-24 second set win.
