Isabela Ross Secures Fifth Place at SBC Cross Country Championships

FOLEY, Ala.— Isabela Ross earns first-team all-conference and top-five finish at the SBC Cross Country Championship at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve Saturday morning.
"This was a learning experience; we are really young team, and we take today and know what we need to work on to come back next year and crush it," said coach Gibson.
Isabela Ross led the charge for the Black and Gold, earning a 5th-place finish with a time of 17:21.40 to earn first-team all-conference accolades. Transfer student Kendall Drisko followed in after with a time of 18:46.90 for a 28th place showing. Returner Sarah Parnell completed the race in 19:14.70, for the 42nd place, closely followed by Kristina Stojanovic, just two seconds behind, placing 44th with a time of 19:16.70. Newcomers Brynn Kelso and Sylvia White recorded the 47th and 93rd positions, with times of 19:29.10 and 23:11.00. The Southern Miss squad collectively earned a seventh-place team finish, accumulating 166 points and showcasing an average time of 18:49.76.
Next up: The Golden Eagles will head to Gainesville, Fla., for the NCAA South Regional on Nov. 10. Live results will be available.
