Cross Country Concludes Regular Season at Crimson Classic

TUSCALOOSA-The Southern Miss Cross-Country team concluded their regular season at the Crimson Classic on Friday morning. Sophomore Isabela Ross once again delivered a top-10 performance in the 5.846-meter run, marking her fourth such achievement this season for the Golden Eagles.

The Oak Creek, Wis. native completed the run in 20:19.20, securing 8th place and improving her time by three seconds compared to last year's meet.

Following Ross, junior Sarah Parnell crossed the finish line at 22:15.50, landing in 117th place. Newcomer Kristina Stojanovic finished 120th with a time of 22:17.50. Graduate transfer Kendall Drisko posted a time of 22:31.50, placing 137th. Freshmen Brynn Kelso and Sylvia White claimed the 152nd and 216th positions, respectively, with times of 22:47.80 and 26:10.80.

Looking ahead, the team is gearing up for the 2023 Sun Belt Cross Country Championships in Foley, Alabama, where they will aim to defend their conference title on October 28th.
