Cross Country Set to Close Regular Season in Tuscaloosa

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-- The Southern Miss cross country team is set to close out their regular season at the Crimson Classic hosted by Alabama in Tuscaloosa Friday morning. This will be the squad's first 6000-meter run of the season.
Crimson Classic
During the previous season, the Black and Gold team secured a commendable sixth-place finish, thanks in part to Isabela Ross. The Wisconsin native finished sixth, crossing the line at 20:21.3. The Golden Eagles tallied 153 points and maintained an average time of 21:17.2, marking their best performance at the Crimson Classic in the program's history.
Last Time out
In their most recent outing, the Golden Eagles competed in a 5000-meter run at the 35th annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Sophomore Ross continued to shine with her third top-10 finish of the season for the Black and Gold, securing ninth place with a time of 17:14.00.
The Breakdown
The team traveling to Tuscaloosa will consist of sophomore Isabela Ross, junior Sarah Parnell, and freshmen Brynn Kelso, Sylvia White, and Kristina Stojanovic. Additionally, graduate student transfer Kendall Drisko will be joining the squad.
