HATTIESBURG, Miss.-- The Southern Miss women's tennis team heads to Tallahassee, Fla., to open up their 2023 slate against Florida A&M after their home match against Jackson State University was postponed due to inclement weather last weekend. First, serve for the Black & Gold is set for 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex.
Seven student-athletes, Clara Tardivel, Suhana Das, Maddison Ricardo, Shevita Aulana, Ebru Zeynep Yazgan, Hannah Chambers, and Zen Lim, look to take on the Rattlers.
Southern Miss leads the series against Florida A&M 5-0, with matches dating back to 2015. The Black & Gold last faced the Rattlers on Feb. 7, 2021, at home with a 6-1 victory for their first win of the season.
