HATTIESBURG, Miss.-- The Southern Miss women's soccer team is set to play their first home match of the season against the LSU tigers on Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex.Â
Â
"Kaizen: Continuous improvement. We reached the halfway mark of our tough non-conference schedule against LSU, and the development of our young team will be tested again. Being able to play at home is something we cherish, and having these matchups is exciting for us and our fans.
I look forward to seeing what our group can do," said Assistant Coach J.P Valadares.Â
Â
"The past two years, we have traveled to them, so to have the opportunity to play them at home is very exciting. LSU has been a solid competitor for us for a couple of years, and this will be a great opportunity to show what we've been working on. Being such a young team, we have some growing and learning to do, and playing teams like LSU will help us with that," said team captain Tay Collum.Â
