The Golden Eagles started the day in ninth before three Golden Eagles went sub-78 to move the Black and Gold six spots.
"Tough conditions make for tough courses and while the first day we did not handle adversity well, we responded well today," said head coach Lucy Nunn Burke. "A few things to get right before we hit the road for conference but we can't wait to tee it up next week."

Freshman Elena Melich bounced back from a slow first round to move into a tie for 18thby the time the final player entered the clubhouse. Melich carded a seven-over 79 today and benefited from three birdies.
Merche Corbacho had the biggest move of any Golden Eagle after recording a three-over 75. Corbacho's 75 was an 11-stroke improvement from day one and slid her into a tie for 25th. Both Friend Chompitakdacha and Jacee Fields finished tied for 29thafter firing an eight-over 80 on Saturday morning.
