Men's Basketball to Host UAB in Final Weekday Game

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's basketball team will open its final homestand of the season on Wednesday night, as the Golden Eagles (6-23, 1-15 C-USA) are set to host UAB (22-7, 12-4 C-USA) at Reed Green Coliseum six days from the start of the Conference USA Championships. Tipoff on Fourth Street is set for 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN+.

The Need to Know
- Southern Miss is coming off a five-point loss in overtime to Rice on Saturday night at Tudor Fieldhouse.
- Against WKU two weeks ago, Isaih Moore became only the third C-USA player this season to record at least 25 points and 12 rebounds in a game this season. Moore joins LA Tech's Kenneth Lofton and Rice's Max Fiedler as the only players to do so.
- Moore added another 25-point performance against UTEP, then poured in 19 points against Marshall and 14 against North Texas. He added 17 at Rice.
- Tyler Stevenson is 28th all-time on the Southern Miss scoring list with 1,171 points. He trails James Williams (1981-85) by 18 points.
- Walyn Napper dropped a career-high 29 points against Rice. He approached triple-double numbers with eight boards and seven assists.
- Napper's 2.14 assist to turnover ratio leads the conference and ranks 65th nationally.
- Moore's six blocks against UTSA were the most by a Golden Eagle since Gary Flowers swatted seven against New Orleans in 2009.
