Southern Miss Returns to Birmingham for USA Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss track and field team returns to the Birmingham CrossPlex tomorrow for the second of four trips this season, competing at the USA Invite hosted by the University of South Alabama.

Sunday's meet opens with the shot put at 11 a.m. CT while the mile will begin running events at 12:30 p.m. CT.
Southern Miss is set to face competition from Alabama State, Alabama-Huntsville, Arkansas State, Auburn, Christian Brothers, FIU, FAMU, Jackson State, Kennesaw State, Lee University, Arkansas-Little Rock, LA Tech, Memphis, MTSU, Mississippi College, New Orleans, Saint Leo, Samford, SELU, South Alabama, Troy, UAB, UT-Chattanooga and Wisconsin.
Overall, the Golden Eagles will have 42 athletes set to compete, with 25 on the women's side and 17 on the men's side.
