Women's Golf Heads West to Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Coming off a tournament win at the Hoover Classic, the Southern Miss women's golf team now heads to Seattle, Wash. for the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event at Tacoma Country and Golf Club has a field of 20 teams from across the country.

The Golden Eagles will play a practice round on Sunday afternoon ahead of an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Monday morning. The field at the par-72, 6,195-yard course includes Seattle A, Seattle B, Gonzaga, Nevada, UC Davis, Stephen F. Austin, Portland State, UBC, Idaho, North Dakota State, Cal Baptist, Southern Miss, Santa Clara, Utah Valley, Tarleton, UC Irvine, South Dakota, North Dakota, Eastern Washington, Cal State Fullerton, Weber State and Montana State.

The Golden Eagles traveled Jacee Fields, Taylor Trible, Friend Chompitakdacha, Momoka Ando, and Elena Melich. Ando is coming off a second-place finish at the Hoover Classic, which was the best finish of her career. She tied her career-low during her first round with a four-under 68. Chompitakdacha matched Ando's top-10 finish and placed ninth with a strong second round.

Trible, a freshman, makes her second-straight appearance in the lineup after making her collegiate debut in Hoover. Melich and Fields also carry over from the Hoover Classic lineup that took home the title.

Monday's round features an 8 a.m. shotgun start with 36 holes on the docket. Southern Miss golfers will be spread across the first five holes to start. Live stats can be found HERE.
