Southern Miss Women’s Soccer takes on UAB

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's soccer team (2-1) will play its first conference match of the 2021 season on Friday, February 25 at 6:00 p.m. (CT). The Golden Eagles will take on UAB in Birmingham, Alabama.

The last time out
In the last match, Southern Miss lost a close contest to LSU in a 1-0 defensive standoff.

The Golden Eagles were coming off of a two-game winning streak before falling to the Tigers of LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Breaking down the all-time record
UAB leads the series with an all-time record of 6-7-3. The Golden Eagles and the Blazers ended their last contest in a tie after double overtime.

The opponent
UAB is led by head coach Erica Demers who joined the Blazers in 2017. Demers has an overall record of 16-19-10. The Blazers head into Friday's contest with a record of 4-2-1 on the season and are undefeated at home thus far.
