Women’s Soccer Falls to UAB

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's soccer team (2-2-0) played its third away match of the 2021 season on Friday, February 26 at 6:00 p.m. (CT) in Birmingham, Alabama. The Golden Eagles fell to the Blazers in a 2-1 contest.
The Golden Eagles were outscored by the Blazers 2-0 in the first half of the contest.
In the second half of competition forward Hailey Pohevitz found the back of the net on a penalty kick with nearly 30:00 minutes left of play. The Golden Eagles would not score again for the remainder of the contest.
The game was finalized at 2-1 ending in a UAB victory.
The Golden Eagles play next at home versus UTEP in a conference matchup. The contest will be played March 6 at 1:00 p.m. (CT)
