Women’s Soccer Set to Take on LSU Friday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's soccer team (2-0-0) will play its second away match of the 2021 season on Friday, Feb. 19 at 3:00 p.m. (CT) at the LSU Soccer Stadium. The Golden Eagles will take on the Tigers following two consecutive victories.
The last time out
In the last match, Southern Miss shut out South Alabama in a 1-0 home contest.
Jenny Caracheo, a senior midfielder from Royse City, Texas found the back of the net with 10:52 remaining in the first half. Caracheo's unassisted goal gave the Golden Eagles a lead they would not give up for the remainder of the match.
Noteworthy moment
The Tigers of LSU lead the series with an all-time record of 2-0. The Golden Eagles last met LSU August 29, 2009 in a 3-0 LSU victory.
