Southern Miss XC Prepares for Regular Season Finale at Florida State Invite

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss cross country team concludes its regular season at the Florida State Invite/Pre-National Meet at Apalachee Regional Park on Friday morning in Tallahassee, Fla.
"We're excited to wrap up the regular season here at Florida State," head coach Nick Gibson said. "Our legs should be fresh after the week off. This is our first 6k race of the season and the course provides plenty of potential for the girls to run well."
The Golden Eagles will compete in the Open Race against Alabama, Arizona State, Bucknell, California, Cincinnati, Delaware, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, Georgia, Jacksonville, Lake Sumter State, Louisiana‐Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Mobile, North Florida, Northeastern, Northern Colorado, Northern Kentucky, Richmond, South Alabama, South Florida, Tallahassee CC, Texas and Troy.
Southern Miss will have their full roster available in Tallahassee with Carlin Beal, Katelyn Cartwright, Rebecca DeKay, Sarah Parnell, Kate Mattox, Lina May and Cassidy Teuscher all toeing the line for the Black and Gold, with all but DeKay being familiar with the course having competed at Apalachee last season.
