Track & Field Finishes Indoor Regular-Season Schedule at Music City Challenge

The Golden Eagles once again saw personal bests and school records at the meet.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Golden Eagles of Southern Miss Track and Field finished out the regular-season for indoor at the Music City Challenge, where they saw new personal-bests hit and a school record broken.
Patton Little, a native of Starkville, Miss., broke a 21-year old school record in the 3000m for indoor, recording a time of 8:13.08 in Nashville. He shaved off eight seconds from his previous personal best to do so.
Jordan Woods recorded a personal best in the 60m prelims, as did Lance Williams. Williams also had a best in the long jump. DJ Butler broke his personal best for the 400m along with Asher Marshall. In the 800m, Dylan Evans saw a new personal-best. On the women's side, Katelyn Cartwright ran her first 800m as a Golden Eagle and set herself a new record. Sarah McMillon set a new best in the mile with a sub-five minute mark. Ashlee Osaji set a new best in the long jump.
