HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's soccer team (1-3-0) will host its first home match of the 2019 season on Thursday, September 5 at 5:00 p.m. (CT) at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex. The Golden Eagles will take on the Jaguars of South Alabama (3-0-1).
The last time out
In its last match, Southern Miss was edged out by ULM, 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Monroe, La.
A goal scored by ULM's Khyjian Thomas in the 42nd minute of play proved to be the difference in Sunday's match, propelling the Warhawks to a 1-0 victory. Bailey Botkin collected the assist on Thomas' goal.
Noteworthy moment
South Alabama leads the series with an all-time record of 10-4-0. The Golden Eagles are 2-4-0 when hosting the Jaguars in Hattiesburg, and 2-6-0 when facing them on the road in Mobile.

Southern Miss junior defender Hannah Moody began her collegiate career playing for South Alabama. The Mobile, Ala. native transferred to Southern Miss in the Spring of 2019.
During her time at South Alabama, Moody was a part of the Jaguars 2017 squad that won the Sun Belt Conference Championship, the Sun Belt Tournament title and participated in the NCAA Tournament.
Former Southern Miss midfielder Hannah Abrams' younger sister Julianna is a member of the South Alabama women's soccer team. Julianna is currently in the midst of her junior season, and serves as a defender for the Jaguars. Hannah played for the Golden Eagles from 2015-2018.
