HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's soccer team (4-3-0) will host SWAC opponent Jackson State (0-6-0) on Sunday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. (CT) at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex.
The last time out
In its last match played, Southern Miss made history by capturing a 2-0 road win over Auburn on Friday night (September 13).
Redshirt junior forward Hailey Pohevitz and junior forward Ariel Diaz accounted for the Golden Eagles' two goals in the match.
Pohevitz gave the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead with just over two minutes remaining until halftime, and they never looked back.
With 27 seconds remaining in the match, Diaz provided Southern Miss with an insurance goal, extending the lead to 2-0.
