HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Fresh off of a win against Lamar, the Southern Miss women's soccer team (1-2-0) will travel to Monroe, La. for a 1:00 p.m. (CT) matchup against ULM (0-2-1) on Sunday, September 1. Sunday's match will be played at the ULM Soccer Complex.
The last time out
The last time that Southern Miss took the pitch, they came away with a 2-1 road victory over Lamar on Thursday afternoon.
Junior midfielder JoAnnie Ramos gave the Golden Eagles the early lead when she netted the first goal of the match in the 15th minute of play.
Southern Miss gained a 2-0 advantage over Lamar after redshirt junior forward Alice Campos scored a goal in the 34th minute of play on an assist by redshirt sophomore Mackenzie Hamilton.
Lucy Ashworth got Lamar on the scoreboard with a goal scored in the 83rd minute of play, but Ashworth's goal proved to be the only goal that Southern Miss would surrender in the match.
