Track and Field Set to Host Southern Miss Open

The annual meet will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Marshall Bell Track Complex.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss Track and Field program is set to host the annual Southern Miss Open at the Marshall Bell Track Complex on Friday and Saturday where 18 teams will compete.

Timeline
Friday will see just field events, with men's and women's pole vault taking place at the University of South Alabama. Triple jump, hammer throw and javelin will all take place at the Marshall Bell Track Complex.
Saturday will have high jump, discus, shot put, long jump, and high jump for the field events. Running events will be the 3000m, 4x400m relay, 1500m, 100m hurdles, 110m hurdles, 400m, 100m, 800m, 400m, 200m, 3000m steeplechase, and the 4x100m relay. After the conclusion of the 110m hurdles, slated to start at 1:35pm, the meet will run on a rolling schedule.
Senior Day
Saturday's meet will also serve as Southern Miss' senior day, where the team will be celebrating its 17 seniors.
