Golden Eagles Land 20 Top-10 Finishes at LSU Alumni Gold Meet

Southern Miss had a good showing in Baton Rouge at the annual meet.
BATON ROUGE, La. – Southern Miss had 20 top-10 finishes on Saturday at the LSU Alumni Gold meet, with 12 coming on the track side and eight from field events.

Women's Results
100m B – Keiyana Gaskin placed third with a time of 11.76. Shundoria Hardy came in 31st place with a time of 12.41. Kadaria Thompson finished in the 37th slot at 12.63.
100m Hurdles B – Jasmine Griffin came in eighth at 14.36. Callie Jones finished 12th at 14.59.
200m B – Keiyana Gaskin came in 14th with a time of 24.59. Chenelle Ricketts finished in 17th with a time of 24.69.
400m A – Rian Robinson finished in 14th place with a time of 54.84.
1500m – Savannah McMillon came in seventh place, finishing in 4:39.49. Sarah McMillon came in ninth at 4:46.11. Theresa Harto came in 11th at 4:48.74.
5000m – Madeleine Bell came in 10th place with a time of 18:46.15.
4x100m Relay – The relay group came in ninth with a time of 46.38. The team was made up of Kadaria Thompson, Jasmine Griffin, Chenelle Ricketts, and Keiyana Gaskin.
Discus – Danisha Jones came in fifth place with a throw of 153'02.00".
Hammer – Danisha Jones finished in eighth with a distance of 166'07.00" on her throw.
Long Jump – Callie Jones finished in 11th place with a jump of 17'06.00".
Men's Results
100m A – McKinely West came in second place with a time of 10.13, ranking in third place all-time at Southern Miss. Chedlin Sagesse came in 11th place at 10.59.
100m B – Elijah Burton came in 24th place at 10.96
110m Hurdles A – Caleb Parker came in ninth with a time of 14.10.
110m Hurdles B – Christian Strong finished in sixth with a time of 14.44. Tamrin Hobbs placed 21st with a time of 15.46.
200m B – Elijah Burton finished in the 26th slot with a time of 22.51.
400m A – Trey Johnson came in 16th place with a time of 48.11.
400m B – Lorenzen Burton came in 31st place with a time of 51.39.
400m Hurdles B – Mamadou Seck finished in 10th place at 54.10. Tamrin Hobbs came in 26th place at 57.43.
4x100m Relay – The team came in fifth in the relay, with a time of 39.97. The group was made up of Chedlin Sagesse, McKinely West, Trey Johnson and Caleb Parker.
Long Jump – Eric Washington placed seventh with a jump of 22'11.25".
Long Jump Invitational – John Warren came in sixth place, jumping to a distance of 24'03.50"
Triple Jump – Devonta Brassell came in 7th place with a jump of 46'06.75".
High Jump – Eric Richards placed third, jumping to a height of 7'02.50". Caleb Parker came in fourth place, jumping to a height of 7'01.00".
Javelin – Thomas Peters came in sixth place with a throw of 199'01.00".

The Golden Eagles will return back to Hattiesburg to compete on their own turf, hosting the Southern Miss Open from April 26-27. The meet will be broadcast on FloTrack.
