HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss Golden Eagles (7-1) (1-0) will return to the pitch on Thursday, September 20 when they host C-USA opponent North Texas (5-1-1) (0-0) at 4:00 p.m. (CT) at the USM Track & Field and Soccer Complex.

The Last Time Out
The last time that the Golden Eagles took the pitch, the team came away with a 1-0 overtime victory against Western Kentucky on Sunday afternoon. Sunday's victory marked the first for Southern Miss against Western Kentucky in program history.

Sunday's match was a hard fought 90:00 minute battle between both teams, and at the end of regulation, the match remained scoreless. After a brief 5:00 minute break, the two teams took the pitch once again with 10:00 minutes of overtime on the clock. The full 10:00 minutes would later prove to be unnecessary as Southern Miss sophomore midfielder Miah Zuazua sent a header into the back of the net on an assist from senior midfielder Hannah Abrams at the 96:13 mark, ending the game.
