Men's Golf Takes Seventh at The Grove Intercollegiate

Oct. 28, 2014 College Grove, Tenn. - The Southern Miss men's golf team closed its fall season by taking seventh-place at the Grove Intercollegiate, hosted by Middle Tennessee and played at the par-72, 7,368-yard Grove Country Club.
The Golden Eagles shot a 308 to finish 17-over par.
Sophomore Ryan Argotsinger shot a 75 to tie for 15th-place at seven-over par, his second straight top 20 finish and the fourth of the season.
Junior Hayes Weathersby shot an 82 to finish 11-over par in a season-best tie for 31st-place.
Freshman Vasili Kartos tied for 34th-place at 12-over par after posting a 79. Senior Casey Fernandez posted a 73 to finish in a tie for 39th-place at 14-over par and senior Drew Kirby shot an 81 to sit 21-over par in a 59th-place tie.
Ohio State won the team tournament, finishing 10-over par, eight shots ahead of Troy. OSU's Clark Engle earned medalist honors at three-under par, one shot ahead of the College of Charleston's John Jonas.
Southern Miss will take the next three months off before beginning its spring season.
