HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team scored 12 runs in the first two innings and cruised to a 16-2 victory over Jackson State Tuesday evening at Pete Taylor Park.
"I thought we came out and played well tonight," head coach Corky Palmer said. "We really have to get things rolling on the back half of the season to get where we want to be and tonight was a good start."
Tyler Koelling had a career high five RBI and his fourth consecutive multi hit game with a double and home run while scoring two runs.
Freshman Kameron Brunty was three-for-four with three RBI and two runs scored while Joey Archer drove in three runs and scored three times while blasting a three-run home run.
