HATTIESBURG -- The Southern Miss women's golf team will tee off at the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein to open the 2026 campaign on Tuesday morning. The two-day event will be played at TPC Louisiana over Tuesday and Wednesday.Â
The Golden Eagles will play alongside the 13-team field that includes Georgia State, Howard, Jackson State, Lamar, Loyola, LSU, Samford, San Diego State, Southern, Tarleton, Tulane, Louisiana, and West Florida. The course will play as a par-72, 6,275-yard track. The Tuesday rounds will feature an 8 a.m. shotgun start with 36 holes of continuous play. Wednesday's final round will start at 8 a.m.

- Louise Cuyvers returns for her third season at Southern Miss after leading the Golden Eagles in stroke average last season. Cuyvers' 73.11 average was the second-best in school history, and she is currently second in career stroke average.Â
-Â Savannah Van Gaalen and Liv Romer both participated in all 10 events last season, while Van Gaalen averaged 76.1 strokes per round. Romer averaged 77.1 strokes per round and notched a top-five finish at The Judson.Â
- Morgan Guepet played in six events for Southern Miss during her sophomore campaign and had her best finish come at The Judson. She aided Southern Miss to a pair of wins at The Lady Clerico and The Judson
- Chloe Stevenazzi and Ava Bates will both make their Golden Eagle debuts. Stevenazzi joined the program in January but did not participate in an event. Bates transferred to Southern Miss after playing two seasons at Northern Arizona
About TPC Louisiana
Master architect Pete Dye designed the course, working in conjunction with TOUR players Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson – a New Orleans native. The course is located in Avondale, just 15 miles from the bustle of the "Big Easy" and Bourbon Street. TPC Louisiana was named "the #4 best upscale public golf course" by Golf Digest magazine when it opened back in 2004. TPC Louisiana is consistently included in GolfWeek's "Best Courses You Can Play" each year (Golf Digest 2011 Top 100 public Golf Course).
The golf course, which is part of the Audubon Golf Trail, stretches over 250 acres of wetlands along the Mississippi River Delta. True to Pete Dye's style, the golf course features over 100 bunkers, including several large waste bunkers on the first six holes of the back nine. TPC Louisiana boasts a series of short and compelling par-4 holes to balance. The five sets of tees, ranging from a fair 5,121 yards from the women's tees all the way back to the 7,400 PGA TOUR tees, offers golfers of all skill levels a great blend of challenge and playability.
